Castle Hill Primary

Meet Our Trustees

This page includes information on who our trustees are.

Anne Pearman

I'm Anne Pearman, Vice Chair of the Trust board, link trustee for SEND and Looked After Pupils. I sit on both the 'Education' and 'Business, Audit and Risk' committees so that I have a full overview of all the work undertaken by the board.

Both of my children attended Castle Hill and have very fond memories of their time at school. I joined the board because I wanted to give back to the school the support I could in my capacity as a teacher with 20 years experience. I now work for Kingston Music service -  I am a music specialist and believe that music is part of every child's creativity. Having taught children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, I use my professional knowledge to challenge and support Senior Leaders and the board during meetings to ensure that Castle Hill pupils and staff can be the best they can be. I believe that Castle Hill provides a nurturing learning environment for all pupils to grow and develop; ever ready to bring the best in new pedagogy to enhance and support our children.

Charlotte Boult (Chair of Trustees)

I’m Charlotte, chair of trustees and link trustee for Early Years and Safeguarding. I sit on both the Education and Standards committee and the Business, Audit and Risk committee. I have been a member of the board since 2014.

I have 4 children, all of whom have attended Castle Hill, my youngest child is now in KS2. I am passionate about education and am extremely proud to be a trustee at Castle Hill.

I run a successful local business and am able to use my skills to interpret and analyse data, ensuring the board has a firm grasp on budgets, pupil progress and attainment and that our decisions support the schools vision, ethos and development plan.

I meet with Mrs Johnson regularly to ensure that the board have full oversight into the schools operations and pupil and staff wellbeing.

Dalene Johnson (Headteacher)

I am the very proud headteacher of Castle Hill Primary School with 30 years of teaching experience (10 of those years in a school abroad).  I have previously worked at Moor Lane Junior School as class teacher, Year Leader and Acting Deputy Headteacher. I started my journey at Castle Hill Primary School as Deputy headteacher and gained my National SENCO qualification during this time. I was seconded for a year to support a CofE school in Surrey as Deputy Headteacher for 3 days a week, this was an enriching and invaluable experience and supported me in developing further as a leader. During my time at Castle Hill I have had many responsibilities, including that of Inclusion Leader and was appointed as headteacher in January 2020.  In my spare time I love to read, do gardening and explore our stunning National Trust sites with my family.

I work closely with the board of trustees and attend all meetings where I address any questions that the trustees may have.

I truly believe that at Castle Hill we change lives; we make a difference, every single day, to someone.  My drive is to serve our community and to ensure that all pupils are given equal opportunities to maximise their potential regardless of their background, social status or starting points in education.
