Y6 PGL Updates

Tuesday 17th October 2023

PGL Update: Great start to the morning after a good breakfast of bacon, hash browns, beans, toast and cereal. We are all well rested and have begun our first activities: orienteering, zip wire, climbing and sensory trail. Fears have been overcome and everybody is in good spirits. Looking forward to trapeze and archery this afternoon with a camp fire this evening. We are all having a fantastic time!

Wednesday 18th October 2023

Morning Update: Had a fantastic hearty breakfast of sausages, hash browns, beans and mushrooms after our camp fire last night. We have now just begun our first activities and hoping it doesn’t rain (fingers crossed). Already we have been flying through the air, climbing high and making memories. Lots of songs have been learnt and excitement had! 

Evening Update: It has been a wet but fun filled afternoon with most of our group facing fears of heights, jumping from tree tops and climbing to tall places. We have been incredibly proud of their resilience and teamwork. We are just off for our evening activity and hoping tomorrow will give us some dry weather. 

Thursday 19th October 2023

Morning update: A wet start to the day today after a lovely breakfast. Archery, problem solving, climbing, abseiling and a giant swing are on the agenda. A good time has been had by all and we have no doubt that we will be returning tomorrow tired but with memories made and new skills learnt. 

Evening update: It has been another fabulous day here in Liddington, with more climbing at height, den building and starting fires in the woods. We have enjoyed some very wet weather (but that adds to the experience). Currently off to a silent disco to celebrate our last night. It has been a fantastic week and we are so proud of our Year 6's for showing their magic habits and their resilience when facing a challenge. We expect to be back tomorrow at 3:30 but the office will keep you updated with a text if this changes. 

Friday 20th October 2023

Morning update: It is a wet start here at PGL today. We have had our last breakfast and are ready for our last activities. The children have had a fantastic time and we are very proud of all of their achievements. Our coach leaves here at 1:30pm and we hope to be back for 3:30pm. We will ask the office to send a message when we are on our way.
