Year 6 Mental Health Ambassadors
In Year 6, pupils had the chance to apply for the role of Mental Health Ambassadors. All the applicants were interviewed by Miss McGrath and Mrs Barras, and six candidates were selected for their confident understanding and passion for mental health and wellbeing.
On Thursday, 9th November, the six Year 6 Mental Health Ambassadors attended the Primary Mental Health Conference for Kingston Borough at Southborough High School.
During the conference, the ambassadors participated in various activities to develop a mental health action plan and find ways to promote and support mental health across the school. They also learned about mental health and well-being, including the importance of protective factors, ways to care for their and others' mental health, also where to seek help.
At the end of the conference, the ambassadors were awarded certificates for completing the day and becoming Kingston Schools' Mental Health Ambassadors.
